A new member of my house, ZaZu, is the first image this week. She is a new model who doesn’t know how to stand still or pose using the best light.

2012 Picture a Day–Week 7
Week seven starts off with a picture of the Arizona Desert. I was hoping to find the desert in bloom, but its a bit early and I think we will have to check back in a week or two. Several of the photos this week came from my day job as a teacher. The week ended up with me babysitting precious twin granddaughters. It has been a week of great photos.

Dogs of the Glendale Chocolate Festival
Today I had the pleasure of attending the Glendale (AZ) Chocolate Festival which is held annually in February. Last year when I attended, I noticed that a lot of visitors brought their canine friends along for the fun. So this year I came prepared with my backpack full of camera equipment. As the afternoon wore on, I noticed how friendly everyone was when I asked them to photograph their pet. I wonder, was it the fact that dog owners are just that, more friendly, or did all that amazing chocolate have something to do with it?? I don’t know, just wondering.

I have to say that the Picture a Day project that I started on January 1st holds my attention more than I thought it would. This week I started off with a picture of my soul mate and husband. Who knows where photography will take me and what will end up in this week’s collection.
